Patronage, reimagined.
MECENATE takes its name from Gaius Maecenas, the Roman adviser to Emperor Augustus whose support of poets such as Virgil and Horace made his name synonymous with cultural patronage.
Inspired by this legacy, we connect artists, collectors and exceptional objects creating a dialogue between contemporary expression and historical heritage.
Our Approach
Based in Florence, MECENATE is an independent art platform dedicated to exhibitions, art advisory, private sales and collection development.

Through ANTIQUA, we work closely with private antique dealers and historians to source and present distinctive antiques, with attention to craftsmanship, provenance and historical significance.
